So this is very creepy and pretty long as well, but any insight would be nice bc my brain is freaking me out... It’s a pretty long dream, but the main thing is that I’m in the body of a girl that’s not me. Or, I’m someone else. I’ll just call her ‘Morgan’ but it’s actually me, just as someone else. So it starts off with Morgan and her parents moving into this old house. She’s kinda mad bc there’s no WiFi, the only electricity even is some stupid lighting added last-minute to the house. When she first walks into the house, she can see a very old fashioned hallway with peeling wallpaper, an old and magnificent cabinet, and dust everywhere. Most of the candleholders have cheap LED lights in them, but you can tell they’re real gold, made for real candles. In the room next to her is a couch in front of a fireplace. Two things are off here: the fireplace has black fingermarks on the brick, like someone smeared coal, and there are small hand marks in the dust on the wall. The mom comes in and says something like ‘I thought I told you not to mess around’ and Morgan/I am like ‘I didn’t, Ugh,’ but we don’t pursue it much further. It gets a little hazy next but basically I/Morgan decides to go and explore, since she doesn’t have WiFi or anything to do. There are a ton of old fashioned rooms. One of the rooms has a bunk bed and I remember thinking (or remember Morgan thinking) ‘that’s weird, how many people used to live here?’ Morgan ends up choosing a bedroom with a poster bed for her own. She finds only one door that she can’t go through; a locked door at the end of the hallway. Again, it gets hazy, so cut to Morgan walking down the hall in the middle of the night when all of a sudden, she/I feels a CRAZY pain in her head and her senses are overcome. It’s like teleporting or something. She stops hearing the silence of the house, and instead starts to hear the clink of dinnerware and chatter of children. Stops seeing the dusty old hallway and instead sees the same thing, but the candleholders are holding brightly lit candles and everything has a warm glow, and the dust is gone. She can even smell fresh food all of a sudden. All furniture in this ‘vision’ of the house is furnished. She immediately feels Deja Vu and thinks, ‘this must be the house when it was first built.’ In THIS flashback-memory-thing that Morgan is having, she’s a different person. (I know it’s weird- I’m a different person, who’s having a memory of a different person.) The memory flashes and Morgan sees the house when it’s new. In the memory-flashback-thing she’s a boy who’s living at the house. She sees him at the table with other kids, in the bedroom, and most importantly, in a strange room that looks like a classroom, with desks and a chalkboard. (She thinks ‘oh the locked door!’) The boy that Morgan is having the memory from is in an empty classroom with another boy, and they’re carving their names into the wall inside of a heart. The memories flash again and you can see that the boys (the boy Morgan is having the flashback from, and the other boy) are in love, but it’s forbidden, since they’re both guys and homosexuality wasn’t really accepted back then. Then Morgan stops having the flashback. She’s on the floor, panting. She gets up and sees new handprints on the walls leading to the kitchen. She follows them to a drawer and finds an old key, but there’s butterflies in her stomach, and something definitely feels off. She goes back up and unlocks the door. She’s in a small, circular room with only one thing: a spiraling staircase with really steep stairs. The candle holders still have candles in them, but they’re burnt out to stubs. Everything’s dark and dusty. She goes up the stairs with building dread. When she gets to the top, she sees the dead bodies of the two boys, holding hands and knives on the floor next to them. I won’t go into detail but it’s gory, and you can tell what happened: they couldn’t be together, so they killed themselves. Something happens and Morgan can’t control her body very well, like she’s playing tug-of-war with someone else who wants to take control. Whispers carry through the halls— ‘stay with me forever, stay with me’ —and it’s VERY creepy. She runs downstairs and finds her dad hanging by the stairs, her mom with scissors stabbed into her throat. She loses control of her body and her only thought as she grabs a knife and slashes her wrists is the overpowering whisper: ‘I can stay with you forever.’ VERY creepy and I have no idea how I even dreamed this up, but I just read Romeo and Juliet, so I’m thinking it has to do with that.
