I was traveling and stopped at a luxury grocery store to get something to eat. It was dark out so the grocery store wasn't really busy. When I walked in, there were meat counters as far as the eye could see. I walked around a few and the meat looked really high quality. Men were working behind the counters, packaging meat and wiping down surfaces.The lighting was really high end as well, with these nice bright warm lights above each station. I wandered around to the seafood section. Someone who worked there dropped some fresh fish off and called out what it was. He also threw down another pile and shouted out "parasites". When I turned back towards all the meat counters, the lights were off. They were motion activated to save energy I guess. When I walked towards the meat counters, the lights closest to me turned on, and the butcher at the counter was illuminated. He gave me uncanny valley vibes and was somehow working in the dark before I walked near him! All the butchers were cutting meat and working in the dark, and we're illuminated only when I walked near them. I went over to the restaurant section of the grocery store and noticed that most of the restaurants were selling hot dogs. The employees were kind of aggressive too.
