I was scanning the sand at the beach with a metal detector when I saw the corner of a wooden box poking out of the sand. I look around to see if anyone noticed but everyone paid no attention to me, which was good because I wasn't planning on sharing my potential riches. I struggled to unearth the box but when i finally pulled it out the sand it slipped out of my fingers and landed on the top of my right foot. I tried to hold the pain in for I didn't want anyone noticing what i found. The box was very strange and very old, the wood seemed like it was rotted and it had gold metal bumpers on each corner. It had no keyhole and had no sign for it to be opened. I touched the wooden box just for curiosities sake but once i did i felt an uneasy cold shiver run up my arm through my shoulder blade and down my back. I felt so uncomfortable but it meant nothing to me compared to the potential gold that might be trapped inside. I look around one last time and notice that the once crowded beach is completely empty and had no signs of anyone even being there. I raise a metal bat high which somehow I just happened to have at the time and I smash the box open. Out of nowhere something jets past me coming out the box and I turn around to see a shadow figure that assumed the form of a large sized dog. The entire outline of the shadow dog seemed to flicker like a wild flame and it had no face, no visible eyes or teeth but I became terrified. My body immediately bolted and I ran trying to find the nearest tree. I was already halfway there when I managed to collect my thoughts and realized that I even ran in the first place, but my will to live completely took over my entire consciousness and I jumpad as high as I could to climb the tree but the shadow dog kept up with me and jumped with me and managed to bite me. I felt no pain but instead i was filled with terror from the unknown effects of the bite. I began to feel a tingling sensation throughout my entire body but i was confused as to what was going on, "I don't want to die", was the only thought that was going through my head. Moments later my dream switches to third person view and I see a second shadow dog. At this point I realized that the second shadow dog is me and I lost all self awareness. The dream finishes off with just two shadow dogs just roaming the beach and the only feeling I felt was sadness.
