Earth was the same as normal, except there was an extra continent. It was less talked about or acknowledged than the rest, which would not be the case if it were real, because it wasn't like any of the others. It was small, about half the size of Iceland, and shaped a bit like a crescent with the ends pointing South. What made it special was that instead of staying in one place like the rest, it traveled around the world on shifting ocean and wind currents that took it on the same winding path each year, always taking it East, Northeast or Southeast until it was back where it started. Almost no one wanted to live on it because it stayed mostly in colder regions, and went right through the North Pole in the coldest part of winter. I guess there wasn't a solid ice cap in this version of the planet. Despite it being an unpopular destination, I was intrigued with it and looking for any way I could to move there. Even the potentially deadly trip through the North Pole in the months-long blackest part of winter appealed to me. I sought a role I could fill on it, full of mostly scientists and Inuits. The name faded as I woke up, but I do remember it sounding like it was named in the Inuit language, something similar to Nunavut. It also had a unique culture, comprised of several of the icier places it traveled through, but also some of the warmer ones. I think it had bistros and other nice places like you'd find in a city.
