My First Lucid

I'm afraid it was rather short and unexciting, but it happened and that's the important part. I dreamt I was lying in a makeshift bed on the floor of my mom's bedroom and I woke up around 4 am. I stood up and suddenly thought to perform a reality check. I poked my finger through my hand. Then, following the plan I had, I ran to my bedroom, and performed one more check in which I looked at my hands and saw that I had way more fingers than I should. I felt a little dizzy and I was very excited, but I calmed down and opened the window and flew out. I flew around for a while and changed my outfit so I would look cooler. Then, I returned to my house and I woke up again in the floor bed. This time I failed to recognize it was a dream since I was waking up.
