car bombs: undercover

terrifying dream about time bombs being placed in people’s cars randomly in my city. i played detective and went undercover because i suspected this family that i knew well enough to drop by. when i went to their house i saw the two older brothers placing a car bomb in their family’s next door neighbors car. i knew it was them because of the big baby blue pickup truck they drove up in that had been on the news as people have been warning to watch out for it. i went inside to chit chat with the crazy family and the brothers came in briefly and talked about their “big accomplishment” they’ve been working on for 12 years. acted really supportive of them and their undisclosed accomplishment, pretending i had no clue what that was. i then said something to the sister like, the longest toughest challenges we overcome end up being the most rewarding. then the brothers left saying they had to go back to “work”. i was very good at hiding my motive for being there because i just masked all my fear an anger with happiness and smiles. when i finally thought it was the right time to leave, i got up and started walking to the door and they said “next time bring your roommates” and then they said bring extra hair or something really fuckin weird about cutting their hair off with an axe quietly between each other, thinking I couldn’t hear them. before i left i remember my best friend texted me with a link to one of the bombings saying she left her umbrella right near there once and that she was crying. i was like if you’re terrified imagine me! you don’t even live here. i planned to respond later. as i went back to my car i thought maybe the family knew what i was up to - or maybe i knew too much (even though i did a great job at playing dumb and sweet). so i had to somehow check my car for a bomb without being suspicious. i was also planning how i was gonna call the cops on them because if the family found out someone called in anonymous tip, they would automatically know it was me, since i’m the only one outside their family that would have known anything. but first, before i could save the neighbors lives, i had to figure out how to save my own. *woke up pondering how to not be killed by a possible car bomb awake- here’s my idea. i could’ve thrown my keys under the seat of my car, pretended to lose my keys, gone back inside, asked the family if they’ve seen my keys, look inside, then dig around in my car outside without seeming suspicious, actually looking for the bomb. and if i found one, i could just take the bus or an uber home saying i’ll come back for my car with my spare set of keys! and then never come back.
