Apologizing to Alex

I was out at a bar drinking with several friends and we all had a table together… I look up and I see our friend Alex coming in and we get him to sit with us He had a long sleeve white button up shirt and white cowboy boots… He sat down and somehow was next to me and as I was talking I ended up knocking a Coke or some type of soft drink over and it got all over his shirt and some of it got on the toe of his right boot. He was visibly upset but did not blow up at me for doing it. He did however leave to go take care of it… I felt absolutely awful because he left before I could properly apologize So I went to his house and I was so nervous to apologize to him… I set up back in his yard for probably 1015 minutes before I went and apologized to him in person I told him I would buy him a new shirt or he could send me the bill and I will pay for all of it. He told me I did not have to do that and the fact that I was willing to do that, to pay for everything, was enough for him. I still felt so incredibly guilty and awful for what I’ve done.
