I was living in a dystopian society that centered around pain, or the lack thereof. But the government was trying to scare you into avoiding pain. The first part of the dream was going to the dentist, and I got numbing medicine, but it looked like the dentist gave it to me in secret. There was limited consumer goods and resources. The library was almost empty, except for cheesy teeny romance novels, and discarded free food, so it seemed like the library was a food bank. The line to “check out” was incredibly long. When I came back from the library, a bunch of my friends were in the house and said “Liza is mad at you.” I went outside with her to talk, and she told me her boyfriend went to the dentist I recommended, and the dentist shoved a needle with numbing agent into his penis, and he ended up having to go to the hospital for surgery. I said I had no idea why the dentist would have done that, seeing as how she was so good with me. My theory is that he either threatened her about her giving pain medicine, or she was manipulated by the government. I went to buy shoes and although there were some, the selection was terrible. I went back to the property my house was on and a chair popped up for me to sit. I knew when that happened it was because it was a government test, to place fear in pain. I sat in the chair, a message popped up on my phone and said, a reminder not to swim in the water. The chair started spinning and my surroundings turned into tiny yellow and blue balls that were acting like turbulent waves of water. Then I woke up.
