I lived alone in some university-sponsored housing. Somehow I was aware that another student there, a male student, was approaching my apartment to kill me. Knowing that he was just a college student, I wasn't too afraid. I waited outside around a wall, out of sight. When I heard him approaching, I leaned out and pepper sprayed the shit out of him. I did it for so long and I remember getting it right into his eyes, even as he was moving trying to avoid it. As he was lying on the ground in pain and I was calling campus police, he growled, "It doesn't matter, I'm going to come back. And if I don't kill you then, I'll come back again. I'll always find you. If the school moves you, I'll know where you are. I always know where you are." He said my full name, even though I had no idea who he was. Just like he predicted, campus police was of no help, and no authority was going to help or protect me. The very next night I was alone again, and he broke into my apartment. I panicked and grabbed a sledgehammer. He pepper sprayed me out of revenge. I couldn't see anything. Still, I was able to beat him to death with the sledgehammer. The guy who was trying to kill me turned out to be pretty popular, and his brutal murder shook the school up. Authorities didn't release my name at all, under fear of reprisals or bullying and everything of that nature. Eventually I was on a date with a classmate Jessi, and her other female friend, who was also in our school, accompanied us. Jessi and I were hitting it off, I really was developing a crush on her. We were all out shopping and decided to go back to my place. When we get there, I found my dad rummaging through my things. I instantly became irate and I freaked out. I walked through my place more and then found my stepmom and brother in the kitchen, and my stepmom was using my sink. This absolutely infuriated me. I was screaming, telling them to leave. My dad refused. He told me he went through my diaries and journals and found some "concerning" information. I got even angrier knowing this. He said he wanted to talk to me about how I murdered that guy before. Jessi and her friend overheard this, and realized I was the one that killed him. Nobody knew that it was self-defense. They instantly left me.
