I had a dream my dog died

Date: 8/2/2019

So I don’t have a dog in real life, but in my dream the dog was a small brown dog with straight hair and I didn’t know it’s name for some reason, but from what I recall ‘my dog’ ran across the street and a car hit him, but I don’t think he was fully dead because some people off of the sidewalk fed him food from there carts like I was in New York or something then from there I started bawling my eyes out and was completely devastated. Next the dream cuts to picking up a police officer in our car to go investigate the scene and eventually the News came there too and that’s all I remember from that dream kinda choppy
