Missing Key

I was whistling while cleaning up a kitchen in a beautiful home. The light outside looked like this really nice, rose-colored, heavenly tone. It was a house I’ve never seen before but in the dream it was familiar. I was cleaning up, putting things away and such. I walked to the front of the house and noticed the garage door was left partially open so I closed it. While doing so I heard music blasting and this really large group of Asian men and women passed in single-file while doing exercise. Amused, I stepped outside into the awesome weather and wandered along this curvy trail, dappled with shade from a tall oak tree nearby. The layout of the neighborhood was odd. There was a row of houses in front of ours, between us and the road. I opened a small iron gate beside our neighbor’s house which led to the road, and watched the crazy people in fitness clothing pass by. My neighbor was there, occupied by this camera phone as he recorded his surroundings. He slowly moved the camera toward me as he recorded and I waved. Clearly, he didn’t realize I would be there and I startled him. Laughing, I went back through the gate but as I was leaving he called me. “Wait! Sir!” He shouted. He had a thick accent, I think he was from somewhere in India. I turned back to him. “What’s up?” I asked. “So it looks like we are missing a key.” He gestured to the lock on the gate. He was visibly rattled. “Oh, missing your key, right? Not lock?” I had to make sure he got the vocabulary right since English was new to him. “Yes, key. I don’t know where...” He shook his head in frustration. “Well I’ll definitely keep my eye out for it.” “Yes, and we will post a reward soon...” he started. “A reward? For a key?” I butted in. “Yes, since it is such an expense,” he said, ashamed. “No man, keys are super cheap. You can get yours duplicated for a couple dollars,” I explained. He suddenly was relieved and I could see the weight lifted from his shoulders. “Yeah!” I continued, ”Don’t worry, it’s easy. Just go to Home Depot. They’ll take care of it.” He smiled and let out a chuckle of relief. “Thank you!” He said. I woke up to my alarm, feeling good.
