So, this dream played out like an alternate version of beauty and the beast like a different time, universe, version, or one within the original. (Animated Disney original, like original designs and voices, except when Emma Watson showed her face) Belle returns to beats's castle just before the winter. She has remained in contact with the Beast for over a year, going back and forth to his castle and staying for short periods of time. She decides to stay longer with the beast on her next return, with her father having remarried and being quite happy. Belle returns on a night where an odd glitch in the spell allows everyone to return to normal for a very limited time. As she comes down the long, side mountain, curvy entrance way, she arrives, as the castle starts to transform in seconds, with brights colors and striped patterns, in the way it was while she stayed there. There is also a short part when she is running around and these dogs who represent people who were mean to her or pissed her off get comipence. Idk. Anywho, it begins to snow and charity work begins in the form for selling and distributing food (mainly chocolate) across the snowy hill. Belle helps out, meeting people (mainly objects) . She is called inside to meet with five people who have complained about her before and need to set it right. Nervous, she walks into a very big room and stands on the balcony, shaking. She is given a wooden wreath to light on fire. It is revealed the Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts and Chip, and the wardrobe have set tea for her. Lumiere greets her in his typical gleeful humorous, fashion. The six sit down and talk about how wonderful it is to be together again. Belle talks to them about her life and her father's marriage, and they go back and forth with events of their lives. The six continue to talk for a long time. After a while, Belle notices Lumiere has left the conversation for some time. She glances toward the center piece behind everyone, and sees Lumiere sulking underneath the centerpiece, head down, facing away, not engaging. Belle's glances are noticed by Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts. It is revealed that he has been very moody latly since they turned back to objects a week ago. Everyone speaks freely, but Belle is worried. She never has seen Lumiere like this before, knowing he is a charismatic, joyful being. She tries to speak to Lumiere about why he is so down, but it does help. She pushes the subject a bit further, but he says merely he fine and happy to see her. She pushes once more, tapping him gently on the back, but He snaps at her, saying she can't help. His face goes wide, realizing how he acted, and hops away quickly avoiding eye contact. Chip notices Belle is a bit upset after tea, so he follows her to try and cheer her up. He talk about he found a really old book, and there were these passages about magical beings that have the ability to grant wishes. It's kinda been his obsession. He says there is one, that now he told her about it so she will never subcom to it, that grants only one wish. It can make the person believe that their wish, no matter any doubts or disbeliefs they might have, will be everything they want, so they follow the orders of the entity without a second thought, or any remorse. Belle smiles, thinking how lucky she is to have Chip be her little cheer up. She thanks Chip for helping protect her. Belle meets the beast outside, who has turned back to beast, and the two walk around the grounds and reminisce about the year past. They eventually make it to the food drive. Belle talks with the transformed objects, and is overcome with how happy she was here. She announces that she has decided to stay indifinatly, if that is ok with Beast. He announces that with Belle's return, she will be given the post of peacemaker, helping anyone who asks. She cries with happiness that he will let her stay. Lumiere comes in, and apologies for snapping at her. He tells her that he is really happy she will be here from now on. She gives him a hug, and the rest celebrate. Later that evening, Lumiere is hopping on top of the long snowy hill (my middle school hill) and he comes across some saplings that are weak. He tries to snap some in half, but fails. Until, he snaps one, and it glows green on the inside. He looks within, gasps, and then the scene faded away. Like I wasn't to know what he had planned. Time for the moment seems to pass worry free. There was a cute scene where beast decides to read. He was about to stay inside, but sees how beautiful it is outside, so he decides to sit out on the patio. He begins to sip tea, drops it, and the horses ask if they can sit with him. After a while, Belle comes out to greet him, and sits beside him, and they read together. Belle's time in the castle goes wonderfully, with her spending quality time with beast ( you can tell they love/ care about each other, they just are too nervous to admit it). One day, Belle is invited into the dining room . Lumiere is there, now silver in color, and has set up the table in an interesting way. A large bowl with 8 pieces of silverware are set up. Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts and the rest of the kitchen staff are there, thinking this is a normal dinner. However, Lumiere begins to sing "Be Our Guest" again, and Belle feels herself pulled against her chair. Everyone else is confused at what is going on. He starts speaking the words to the song, looking at Belle with sad, apologetic eyes. He starts singing and dancing, music begins to play without warning, dishes and objects that don't seem familiar to Belle accompany his charade, and she grows increasingly uncomfortable. Mrs. Potts and Cogsworth starting singing about how awkward this is, and don't know why or how by what force they are participating in this. Lumiere looks over for any sign of enjoyment from Belle. When he doesn't see it, he tries harder. The unusual plates start to fly around faster and whirl pass her face. The unexplained music starts to grow off key and creepy. Eventually, Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts crash off the table, and Belle runs over to make sure they are ok. Belle looks back and Lumiere is gone. The feather duster, Babette, goes looking for him. Lumiere , now gold again, has a dream/vision that had the spell he intended to cast worked, he and Cogsworth would have returned to normal, but Belle would shrink and become a mouse. Also, they would become different people, changing their appearance to reflect a different fairytale. Over the next few days Lumiere seems more distant the usual. While spending time with Beast, Belle notices an ancient golden horn in his study. (Now, I didn't see/remember how the fight happened, but I remember books and records about her fathers new wife, and books ether shared together.) Belle walks into a small room and sees a bookshelf with books she has never seen before. As she looks through them, she sees records about her fathers wife. She finds medical reports from an asylum, criminal charges she was tried for, and things that classify her as insane. She confronts the Beast about it, and he said he saw them but thought nothing of it. He claimed he read one but didn't know the women was her stepmother. She screams how he could keep this from her and how she thought they have evolved in their relationship. The two argue for a long time, each now questioning the motives of the other. Belle runs out, and starts ripping apart the books in the book shelf. Beast starts roughing up the books in his study. He beats some pages up, but finds he can't harm them. Suddenly, both notice their books are being dowsed in some sort of liquid. And without warning, the books are set on fire. Belle and Beast try to stop the flames together in the room with the stepmothers books, but the flames are too wild. In a heat flash, they think they see Lumiere as the one who unapologetically, started the fire. Belle runs out to the castle door while beast runs to his study to put out the flames. He is successful, and the books don't seemed to be damaged. Belle is disoriented, confused about where she is, and starts running away. Beast calls after her, but sees her on horse riding far away from the castle. He sulks back to his study. He begins to cry, and notices the gold horn is gone. Belle has returned home and is with her father and his wife. She seems to have forgetten where she was, why she was there, and why she was upset. While she never told her parents that she was leaving to be with Beast, her father had an idea that is where she was headed. She continues life as before like she never even encountered the Beast and his castle, where she meets a man who is Gaston-esue, but different. She agrees to meet with him for a date two days later. When one their date in a garden, Belle gets drunk on too much wine. She drinks from a place of anger, confusion, and sorrow. She gets mouthy to her date, and he slaps her. He drags her to a small house in the garden, and says how she needs to respect a man as perfect as he is. She continues to mouth off, and the gentleman starts to grab her. She struggles forcefully to get away, and runs out the door. He follows her, screams at her, and twists her arm to get her to go with him. Suddenly, Beast appears, roars at him, and slaps him across the torso and he goes flying. Belle is stunned , looking at Beast. Beast looks at her, saying how sorry he was for taking so long to find her. She backs away, terrified. Beast looks at her with a softer, defeated face. He asks "Do you remember who I am." Belle's expression softens. She reaches out an touches his face. Her eyes widen "Beast?" She says. An over joyed smile appears on his face. He carries her in his arms and go back to her fathers house. (Now in the dream, what I remember was four buses rushing back. One full of dogs, one full of women driven by Cogsworth, one full of people driven by me, and one full of men driven by a women. And a high speed race on the highway full of mountain drops, to get back to the castle before midnight. For the sake of things making sense, this is what I dreamt after I fell asleep for the second time.) Belle remembers a sense of fondness for Beast, but admits all her memories of him aren't there. We see Beast has brought Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts with him for support. They claim they don't know where the books came from. Her stepmother, having overhead this, steps in and admits she was in hospital once, but only for a meltdown after her husband died. She moved to start a new life, and that's how she met Maurice. Beast realizes someone tried to break them apart with some spell, and he needs to get Belle back to the castle before she loses her memories forever. He gets on his four paws and Belle hangs on as he races toward the castle. Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts shout encouragement and warnings about the dangers in front of him to help Beast get back quicker. They arrive, and Belle walks around the courtyard, starting to put pieces together of her experience there. She is beginning to remember , but it's not coming all back. Beast takes out the ashes of the books burned, and Belle places her hands in. She begins to softly cry, as she says "These were our memories". Beast asks her what she remembers, but she shakes her head. Beast runs In an brings one of his books . He reads it to her. After a while, she starts to put the pieces together. She starts saying word for word what is in the book without looking, and the ashes start to rise, floating around the books Beast has in his study. The books rise in the air, and fall into Belle and Beast, filling the holes in their head where their memories were. Belle jumps into Beasts arms, and says how sorry she was. She tells Beast how much she loves him, and beast says how much he loves her. The objects come out to celebrate the return of Belle. Everyone wonders what caused all this. Chip thinks for a moment, and calls out to Belle. He claims it could be the work of what she was warned about before. It must be the work of a Nelmac. Chip explains that a Nelmac is a green entity hidden within nature. When discovered, it has the ability to grant one wish. However, the wish does not come cheap, and the Nelmac requires an offering of gold. Like Chip warned before, the grantee will do anything to make the wish happen without considering the repercautions. If the grantee does everything they were instructed to do,and the wish fails to happen, the grantee will turn into a gold snake, while the Nelmac keeps the gold for itself. Belle, Beast, Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts's eyes suddenly dart around the floor to find said snake. After stepping toward the cobblestones, Belle notices something slithering by her foot, and stomps on it. Looking down she noticed a golden sparkle come from the tip of its tail. She picks it up, and sees she caught a golden snake. She runs back to the others, showing her find. The snake, panicked, speaks about how sorry it was, for all the trouble it caused. As it speaks, Belle and Beast look at each other, realizing from its voice that he was Lumiere. She then speaks aloud , putting together that the golden horn was used as an offering for the Nelmac. Lumiere claims it was the most he could find other then what he had to offer. Belle asks Chip if the wish couldn't be granted in full, would the offering be returned? Most importantly, would Lumiere remain like this forever. Chip says the Nelmac uses gold to feed the obsession of the grantee. As long as the Nelmac has it, Lumiere will remain like this. The Beast runs inside and leaps up toward his study, but sees no horn. He notices something shining outside his window toward the snowy hill. He jumps out the window and rushes to the glittering sight. He sees the horn wrapped around the sapling. The saplings branches grow thicker and bind tighter to the horn. Beast tries to pull it away, but it seems to strong to be freed. He forces his hand into the gaps of the branches, and pulls them away from the horn. Though small, it took all his strength to fight back, he flings his other paw in to grab the horn, and he yanks it out, letting the branches snap back. He rushes back to Belle, giving her the horn. Belle closes her eyes, hoping that because the offering was returned, the Nelmac's spell will break on Lumiere. A wind picks up from the sea, and gets increasingly stronger. It targets Lumiere, swirling around him. As the sun rises, the light turns the wind into golden beams, and Lumiere becomes a golden candlestick once more. Releived, Belle holds tight her friend, and everyone cheers. Later that night, many people are revealed to have turned back to humans for a short time. A grand party takes place with food, drink, and games, one with a shiny purple rainbow ball. The castle is full of merriment. Cogsworth, in human form, says his dressing for dessert came out too think, and the candlestick in the kitchen hasn't moved an inch to help. Belle realizes the candlestick isn't Lumiere, and takes the dressing out to the courtyard. She asks for help in finding someone who could fix this dessert, and a handsome man stands up and says he will and might know where to look. Belle realizes this is Beast in human form, and is the first time she is seeing him like this. He walks with her around to find him. Lumiere is sitting on an ironwork sculpture in a moonlit part of the courtyard, remaining motionless. He stares blankly at his reflection through the metal and shards of ice, softly crying. The setting has not changed for what seemed like years , staring into the blurred, reflected night sky. Water slowly drips down the side, splashing into his reflection, but changes nothing. Sudenlly, the ripples reveal the presence of two people that have wandered into the sky. He remains motionless, holding his breath to avoid being seen. Belle says "We thought we might find you here." Lumiere exhales loudly, and slowly turns around, his eyes glossed over with tears. He says how incredibly sorry he was for everything he did, and didn't mean to harm the people he cared about, especially them. Beast and Belle asked what happened to make him do this. Lumiere responded with how frustrated he was with being a candleabra. He would be human for only a day or few minutes, and spend more and more time as an object. He felt like he had forgotten what it was like to be human. He wanted to be human again and restart his life so badly it hurt his heart, knowing he couldn't, and didn't know how. He started to feel like the time would never come where the spell would be broken. He sees how much Belle and Beast love each other, and didn't know what else could be done. When he found the Nelmac, he knew it would be dangerous. But he wanted to try anyway, offering the gold in his own object body. When that didn't work, the Nelmac told him to break a spell before its time, something else had to be "broken" to balance out. The Nelmac told him if Belle hadn't broken the spell already, maybe she wasn't the one after all. He tried putting that thought of of his head, but suddenly overcame him as the Nelmac spoke. The Nelmac said it cast a spell where Beast and Belle's memories of each other were placed in books. If the books were destroyed, the memories would be lost, and Belle would leave. He immediately agreed to carry out its request, giving no other thought about the matter. Lumiere , with advice from the Nelmac, make it look like the Beast was keeping tabs on her stepmother and kept a"horrible past" from Belle, and she would think he recklessly put her father in danger to keep Belle at the castle. Lumiere speaks about how horrible he feels about what he did, and he was driven by his own selfish desire. Because of that, he ended up hurting the people he loved. He gets chocked up over the confession of how he tried to destroy the lives of two of his best friends. He covers his eyes, and sobs into his candle knobs. Belle looks at Beast , each with eyes glossed with tears. They look at Lumiere, heartbroken over the fact he was unhappy for so long, and miserable over his actions. Lumiere held his eyes shut, wishing he could fade from this world. When he broke away for a second, he noticed Belle's cupped hands by his base. He stops, looks up, sees Belle and Beast's kind smiling faces, and hops into her hands. Beast tells Lumiere he knows how frustrating this glitch in the spell is , how it reminds us of our humanity for a moment before its gone once again for can can feel like an eternity. And he knows not even he is sure what will finally break the spell, despite how finding and receiving love is connected to breaking the spell, and he had found it with Belle. He reassures they will find the solution together. Beast admits he was incredibly shocked when he discovered it was him. He is in disbelief that one of his closest friends and confidants would do such a thing. But, he was never angry. Belle looks at Lumiere. Lumiere asks if she could ever forgive him. Belle says "of course I can. I know you, and your heart. I love seeing how passionate you are when you do something you love. You are so kind, understanding, and you can make anyone happy just by your presence. I know that, your heart always has a good intention. Maybe not the best one you've had, but I can understand why. " Realizing they have forgiven him, he hugs Belle on the shoulder and sobs quietly, and Beast and Belle return the hug back. Later at Dawn, Belle and Beast step into a construction scooper and it is raised overlooking the sea. As the sun rises, Beast gets onto one knee, and asks Belle to marry him. She accepts, and beast picks her up and twirls her around. Lumiere and Babette are looking at the happy proposal. Babette kisses Lumiere on the cheek, and snuggles her head onto his shoulder. He smiles, and gently pulls her closer, a sentimental smile now on his face, as he realizes how happy he is now, and finds peace with everything he has.
