We are driving up a mountain on a dirt road. It’s very steep, but we’re ok. I keep my eyes closed. We reach the snow line and climb by foot. It’s fine. We reach the summit and start to climb down. The path is very narrow and on a sheer cliff. There are handholds but it’s dangerous. I see we’re at sea level, with waves just below us. No one else says anything about the ocean. It’s scary. We reach the cars, and I refuse to get in because I see the ocean all around. Waves and seaweed. No one else does. I try to hide in a cabin. I fear the entire world has flooded and this mountain is the only dry land. A woman tries to convince me that it’s in my imagination. I look out the window and see the city of Amsterdam floating, buildings bobbing with the waves. I’m offered some pills to calm down (cocaine), and I black out. The next part of the dream has me soaring above a geometric map of a river.
