Road trip with Brother-in-law

I drove with my brother-in-law up to northern California. Protesters were blocking freeway. We pulled over parked near a restaurant. I look to the right and see s mother German Shepard with puppies. R go in restaurant, it was more like a home with couches and tv. Multi generational family seemed to be putting on a show for us playing with the kids
