Unbearable Rot

I am living with my family in a small house in the city. There is a problem growing in the city. Mice are everywhere. Infesting everything, you can hear them moving underground, their little bodies making noise because there are so many of them. There is a huge investigation as to the problem. There is also this huge rotten pall which clouds the city. It's so bad people can't function, most can't work. People now beg on the street. It's making people sick. -- We have a miniature horse. We send him out pan handling. He sits on the corner of a street and people put money in his little tin bank thing. It's hooked up to a pull system, like it was a carriage, and when it's full he pulls it home. People don't drop normal money in it, it's pentagrams on gold coins, like pentacles in tarot. -- I'm seeing a girl. I'm actually in a relationship with her. But i don't want to be. She isn't who I want, but my family teases me endlessly about her. There is jewelry involved, I complain to my family about it not being good that I wore a necklace too long and have severe reaction to it. I tell them I am extremely allergic to metal. I'm upset by their amusement. And i hate my hair. There is something not right with my hair. -- I'm investigating the city's problem with a friend. I think he's a police officer or inspector? But it goes on for a while to no avail. Finally he's visiting me at home, we go back to check my family who all huddle inside a dark apartment together to stay safe. The smell is really strong outside, my friend is paying attention to the sound of the mice underground but I see this giant red wall differently suddenly. It's always been the fence between us and our neighbor but it's rotten right there above my head. It's red in color and rotting and falling in and i can see the neighbors inside their kitchen chopping veggies. I realize the 'fence' is a giant red bell pepper and it's rotting is causing all the problems in the city. The smell, the mice, ect. We notify someone, like the the cdc, and it's taken care of quickly. -- I'm out on the street, actually shopping. A little old black woman with a walker asks me for a cigarette. She isn't aware they are back for sale for a dollar now because the depression is lifted. I feel bad because I'm going to say no, which I do. I don't think she believes me about the dollar thing. After I walk away I wonder why she even asked me as I don't smoke. -- There is a little blonde boy brought to room with me, it's a random thing. I think maybe it's a hospital or school thing. I sleep in a bunk bed which sleeps four people. Two beds side bimy side and stacked. I try and welcome the child, but he is scared and in a bad mood. -- My police friend is in his office with his boss, suddenly he grabs a pen and stabs his boss in the neck. His boss bleeds everywhere and my friend is shocked at what he did. He come back to himself and is horrified. They fire him, saying his medication made him dangerous. All he was taking was an antihistamine and allergy meds. -- I was putting in my star silver ear studs, but the post was cut and it was too short. I actually did put them in, and I wore them like normal.
