Talking to a bird (dark flycatcher)

I was looking outside of someone's kitchen window and I see this average sized bird with hair standing up on top of its head. I approach it and ask it if it was hungry it said yes telepathically and then I ask what about an apple. The bird said yes again. I reach over an apple that my mom had pealed and cut. I was happy to go feed the bird and then that part of dream ended.
