I was wondering through alleyways at night in a city. I found a little cocktail bar and went in to have a drink by myself. I was sitting at a table outside with a group of acquaintances. One of whom was the young mother of a friend. She was a little older than me, but blonde and pretty. For some reason I was telling them about a track meet a went to (I couldn’t remember where because it was years ago) where I’d injured my foot, which later hurt my performance at a more important race (NCAA Championships I think). The others started talking and I realized they had either completely ignored me or just didn’t care what I had to say at all. I went to get some water from a water dispenser and some of the water spilled out of my cup. I didn’t think too much of it, but an older lady saw me and chastised me for not cleaning it up, so I cleaned it up with a napkin. I was walking back to my table when the young mother walked towards me and gave me a suggestive look and turned to walk away. I was intrigued, but I then lifted my hand and saw the wedding ring on my finger. I noticed the sink was full of electronic cords. Like they someone decided to soak them in water to clean them. I noticed my headphones in the water too. I started taking them out of the sink, but realized it was probably too late if they were already ruined, so I put them back in because I didn’t want to have to talk about this with whoever had done it. I was leaving the bathroom in my parents room when I heard the garage door open. I was annoyed that I hadn’t made it out of the house before they got home and would have to talk to whoever it was before I could go. I just wanted to go to the little cocktail bar alone. I was trying to. Get my flip flops on when I realized i was having trouble because my socks we’re still on. Suddenly Heidi walked into the room and and said they had been trying to reach me all day and were worried. She was wearing a pink dress like she had just gone to a dance or some formal event. I was glad to see her and relieved to know I was missed. She hugged me and I felt better.
