I was running home on the freeway barefoot, Flintstone style. I was going pretty damn fast and I was thinking about how tough my feet must be lol. I took my exit and slowed down to a stroll along the feeder road, and saw a girlfriend (idk irl) of mine standing near the parking lot of a closed business. There was a man standing off to the side that I didn't notice at first, but when I began to approach my friend to say hi, he started walking over to us. At that point I noticed a telephone on the parking lot slab, like a classic office phone, sleek and silver. Thinking it odd, I reached down to pick up the cordless receiver and jokingly put it to my ear to entertain my friend, but when I looked up at her, she seemed scared that I noticed the phone. She kinda lurched forward at me in an attempt to keep me from listening to the phone, which was actually working. She was silently mouthing at me, waving her arms about. I could hear a conversation between two men on the phone, they were clearly arguing but I don't recall about what, I just knew it was bad news. I listened for a moment and then carefully placed the receiver back in the cradle, knowing full well that the man standing there was poised to attack if I gave the men on the phone any inkling that someone was listening in. I turned to my friend and asked her how and why she was wrapped up in this, and she just looked defeated and shrugged. I turned to leave, but she said, "oh, no you don't.." while the man grabbed me. I began kicking and screaming that I didn't know what they were doing and they could let me go. My friend was near tears as she told me that wouldn't be possible. I asked her to get me black out drunk so I wouldn't remember anything and she said that wasn't going to work. Suddenly, a car picked me up and dropped me off at a business, where I saw another friend (idk irl) named Jonah, though somehow I recall that his name was spelled Johnah lol even though I didn't read it anywhere. He was sitting at a big desk with a miniature town in front of him, and along one side of the desk was a half wall of those frosted glass tiles. The men that dropped me off plopped me down in a seat behind the half wall, as if to conceal me from the view of the door. I had a sense that I didn't know Johnah very well, but that I should get on his good side so he could help me escape. He looked like an old crush from back in the day, Jake. He was thin but strong, with short black-brown hair, dark eyes apprehensive like he'd seen some shit, but a sweet smile with subtle dimples on either side. I began flirting with him, asking him what he was doing with the model town on his desk. He was shy and nervous, but excited to interact with the mini town with me. He said, "the sun's coming up," and proceeded to use a paintbrush wet with water to highlight places on the town where the imaginary sunlight would hit. I asked if the water slowly drying would indicate the sun moving and going back down and he nodded. I put my hand on his thigh, leaned in close to his face and said, "That is genius."
