Trying to impress new boss

I had a new job in a store. the general manager was also new. I had a crush on her. Some guys at the store, including a department manager, had a scam for stealing merchandise. I caught them stealing a lawn mower and told the GM. Lots of my coworkers got mad at me but I wasn't sorry.
