An evil creature lived in a cave near a village. The local lord lived in a castle and knew about the creature which was referred to as a dragon. But it was not entirely a dragon. Something worse. At night I went with an older friend to take a horse to the cave. My friend, who looked a bit like Jeremy Corbin, worked for the local lord who had provided the horse. The cave was not far from the village, just on the other side of a hill. When we arrived near the cave we would stand back and watch the horse walk, as if compelled, towards the cave entrance. There were trees near the cave which obscured the area around it. A small stream ran into the rocky opening of the cave and disappeared into it. As the horse approached I could see the "dragon" moving in the entrance of the cave. It was very dark, but I could see the creature had no form I could identify as a creation of the natural world. I saw some sinister movements towards its prey and what looked like an unraveling of tentacles from its body. As the horse entered the cave (obviously not of its own will, a right minded horse would have bolted at this point), the monster suddenly seized it and pulled it into the cave. I briefly saw a large maw with horrible teeth. I could hear the horse being torn. We turned and walked back to the village. I think this was the first time i had seen this happen, though I had long been aware of it, and I knew it was thing which had to be done. I felt some fear, but mostly I felt hatred and disgust. I was angry that we had to tolerate this evil thing. My friend appeared resigned.
