Piano performance

My church choir director asked me to play a piece on the piano. It was from a ballet, and meant to represent the main character singing about her sadness. I was nervous, since I’m not very good at the piano, but I played it and it actually sounded pretty good. Then the choir director said “Watch this”, turned the sheet music sideways, and played the treble part while singing the bass part. I was very impressed. I’m really sad I can’t remember how the piece went, since it was really pretty. I think it kind of reminded me of Debussy.
