I had a dream that I was taking this blonde girl I sorta knew from way back in school out for prom. This girl was notable because I think she was one of the only blonde girls in school who ever said she liked me. So I met her dad who is a vital looking 50 year old with a big wide neck and double chin. I was at their house before we went out, and he seemed to be giving me the genuine nod of approval. So girly and I head out and are walking on the street and everything is cool. It's going well, and then my negative thoughts of doubt start to shift and change the story, like she starts getting weirded out at me and less enthusiastic, and the perfect feeling that was in the air earlier is fading away, and then somehow we loop back to meeting the dad, except now he's giving me a lecture about how horrible I am, and how could I conceive of taking his precious daughter out. It was almost like watching several different multiverse iterations of the same event of me taking this girl out.
