I was at the fairground with the kids when I met this random guy. We became friendly when my son decided he wanted to go on this ride that was way too big for him (because his sister talked him into it) but he absolutely hated it. The friendly man stopped the ride, so my son could get off safely and without being completely traumatised. At some point, the kids went off to explore and this guy had invited me back to his flat. We didn’t have sex or anything like that. I don’t even think we kissed(?!) but I felt guilty for going back to his house. After awhile, I decided to go back to the fairground and find the kids and told him I was leaving. As I went to leave, I saw Toni (one of my service users) by the door and she didn’t look comfortable at all. I asked if I could have a private word with her out in the kitchen. “Are you okay with me leaving this guy here?” I asked. She shook her head and said she wanted him gone. “Okay, I’ll take him with me.” I replied. I hugged Toni goodbye and walked back to the fairground with this random guy in tow. Everytime we passed a bunch of people, he’d shout out that I was a dirty cheating bitch and that everyone should know. He wasn’t friendly anymore. Far from it. He was on a mission to destroy me. “I’m going to tell your husband!” He said, “he deserves to know!” I ran after him begging him not to. “I’m telling him!” He snapped. We ended up at this big hall at some sort of conference meeting. I was nervous because this awful guy was still with me and I was fearful that he was going to tell everyone I was a dirty cheat. It wasn’t even true. I merely went back to the flat he told me was his (but was actually Toni’s?!) Nothing happened. I sat down nervously, on the floor, cross legged, in a circle. For some reason, everyone was being passed around a banana in which we have to take turn showing off our deep throating skills. I smiled, because I knew I had this one in the bag, but I was still nervous of this bad guys presence. I felt like everyone was already staring and judging me. Sitting next to me, was Charlotte Crosby and Nathan. They kept giggling to each other, which was making me nervous. In the end, I left the room and walked into this poetry/acting class. My husband waved over to me and I pulled up a chair next to him. He nudged me and pointed over to this guy, sitting over on the next table along. “It’s Louis Theroux!” He whispered. Sure enough, it was Louis alright. I tried to contain my excitement as much as I could, but come break time, I went outside and started yelling; “Oh my god! I can’t believe Louis Theroux is here!” “Oh, Mandy.” My husband sighed, pointing over to Louis, who was a few metres away. For some reason, he was on the floor, rolling around in the mud. I didn’t seem to think this was odd at the time and was more mortified that I had ‘fan girled’ him too hard. Next scene; I was setting up a brand new blog which was called something like; “A Day in the Life of MOI; Musings of a mental health worker”. I was writing my first post and had drawn some comical cartoons to go with it. I was also planning to post my dreams. I woke up feeling like I should go back to blogging. I miss it. 😢
