Black Cat & Snake

This was my first dream in a long time and it was one of those super realistic dreams that you 100% think is reality. I was in my bed holding my ball python and this black cat walked up to us and looked curious about the snake. I knew this cat was my pet in the dream but I don’t have a black cat irl. The cat seemed calm and like it just wanted to sniff the snake & figure out what it was so I brought him a little closer to the cat for a better look. This is when the cat just switched and I saw it sink it’s claw into the snakes tail and skin the snakes tail skin completely off of its body. I was disgusted because 1 the snake was bleeding out and 2 this cat seemed evil as hell. I was also freaking out cause I’m really attached to this snake irl and he was a gift from a friend who previously owned him so in my head I was like “how tf am I gonna explain this to them”. I woke up with my heart pounding and was so relieved to find the snake was ok.
