The One Where There’s an Okapi in My Closet

I’m in a big house with Raquel Baugh and a blonde girl (possibly either Morgan or Kailyn). Raquel says something about how she’s heading back to her house and that we can come over if we want. The blonde girl turns to me and says, “Should we say something about Andie?” I ignore this question, not wanting to get into Journey politics and walk toward my dad, who’s appeared in the foyer. I explain where I’m going to him and tell him to meet us there — as two large, chaotic pit bulls that are apparently mine run in circles around us — while doing my best to listen in on what the blonde is saying to Raquel. I feel bad because I know she’s been hurt, but I also know that it’s not worth the damage that will come from publicly criticizing Andie. I think about things that happened with people who clashed with her in the past and decide to act like I don’t know anything. Eventually, Raquel leaves and is replaced by KC Taylor. I follow her and Renee — who has now replaced the blonde girl — into a living room area. KC motions to a TV with verses on it and says, “I wonder if it heard you.” I read them to see if they apply to the conversation that Raquel and the blonde girl were having and try to act oblivious. At some point, the pit bulls are running around the room completely uncontrollably and I try to get them to stop. I start calling out to them, and then say, “I can’t remember your names right now!” Renee and I go back and forth with things like “Tank,” “Dozer,” and “Taser,” and I’m a little bit confused and worried about the fact that I don’t know my own dogs’ names … I open a walk-in closet in what’s supposed to be my house. I see one of my dresses from high school — a retro-looking white dress with horizontal black pinstripes — when I notice that there are holes in it. I look around and find that several of my shirts have similar holes and that there’s even a small chunk missing from the wall. I call Brody in to look at it and then make him stand there with me, watching to see if an animal comes out. I hear a voice that I assume is an exterminator but ends up being Gary on the phone and realize that he and Brody must’ve been playing a game together. As I’m explaining my thought process, a weird, cricket-like bug crawls out of the hole and I say, “I’m gonna get this bastard!” I take a step into the closet when the thing runs out at me, but now it’s a chihuahua-sized okapi. It’s so cute that I start petting it and suddenly hope Brody doesn’t try to hurt it.
