Rushing rapids

I was on a rock with a rushing river around me. My raft was tethered to the rock. Downstream a giant waterfall fell. The river began rising over my rock. I didnt want to be swept away so i got onto my raft and began paddling in the other direction. Giant waves lifted me up high. It was exhilarating. Seaweed rushed around me. The ocean must feed this river. But the current was too strong. I was being pulled backward - not towards the giant waterfall east, but to another waterfall to the south. I paddled as hard as i could diagonal to the current. Not hard enough. I grabbed onto a rock at the last possible moment. I stood on a ledge with other swimmers cliff diving. One of them told me where to jump. I peered down to a cove of people swimming peacefully. I was too scared to jump. I woke up. My heart is beating fast! 1:20 am
