I was standing in line at a grocery store (which in the dream was somehow affiliated with my university) behind a group of girls who were talking loudly. In the dream I was friends with the girls, and I knew they were all Catholic. They were complaining about the Catholic Church—the fact that women can’t be priests, the way the complicated structure of authority makes it difficult to get real change done, et cetera. One of them turns around to me and says, “What do you think?” I protested (haha) that I’m Protestant and it’s not my place to tell a bunch of Catholics what’s wrong with their church. The Catholic chaplain of my university suddenly appeared behind me and said “It’s okay, you can say what you really think. What’s the true religion?” I replied, “I don’t think there is an objective truth when it comes to religion.” The chaplain said “That’s a cop-out” and walked away.
