Alcohol at starbucks

We were at a hotel and there were two starbucks literally 10 feet from each other. I was with my mom and I commented on this but she was distracted. She was confused as to why the starbucks didn't have a bar and didn't have alcohol on their menu. I was confused to why they w otto old but I didn't say anything. I just went up to someone who worked there and asked them if they sold alcohol. She looked at me weird because I'm clearly too young to drink and I was holding my nephew (1 and and half) clearly to young to drink. I said oh not for him and not for me. She ran it through her little device and said no they don't carry alcohol.
