I was a part of an Amish family with 5 girls and 3 boys. We were in the car on the way home and the oldest daughter confessed to sleeping with her boyfriend before marriage or something like that. My fake Amish dad almost crashed the car out of shock, my fake Amish mom began to cry, and my siblings and I just groaned and rolled our eyes. We got home in time for bed. There were 3 rooms, 2 with two bunk beds and 1 room with one bunk bed. We all shunned the oldest daughter—I feel like her name was Cindy—and she seemed very ashamed and upset. I remember wanting to talk to her but I knew I couldn’t. The boys and our dad all slept in one of the rooms with two bunk beds and the younger 4 daughters slept in the other room with 2 bunk beds. My mom and Cindy slept in the one bunk bed room. Suddenly, I was a third person viewer. I went into different rooms at random points to see what was going on. In mom and Cindy’s room, they both stayed awake and silent, feeling awful for how they had acted and were acting. The rest of the girls gossiped about Cindy, some wanted to forgive her and others felt no remorse. The boys and dad were joking around quietly, trying not to make Cindy’s situation too uncomfortable even though everyone was wildly uncomfortable.
