Super easy v shaped sit ups

I remember doing special sit ups. I could sit up and bring my legs up in a v¬ shape. I could feel my muscles working. I was paying attention for that burning-I'm-almost-over-doing-it feeling. It wasn't there. I kept going, paying attention to my form. Someone or something walked by, apparently checking people's form. Still no burning feeling. Just working out, correct form...
