Witnessing a nuclear bomb

Keegan and I were driving down the i5 towards Portland. I’m not sure where we were going, but before we started driving, we were with a bunch of other people. At one point, we stopped on the side of the freeway to let other people catch up with us. Other people were doing that as well I’m not sure why that was allowed on the freeway, but it was happening. Near where we had pulled over there was a downed powerline, and a girl was standing where it was at its lowest to signal drivers to drive around it. There was a lot of traffic. Keegan and I were sitting on the side of the road in the dirt just chatting when all of a sudden a giant all black airplane flew over us. Keegan thought it was pretty cool, but I was a little confused then a bunch of littler airplanes flew over us towards Mount Rainier. Keegan said “oh here we go“. My heart started pounding. Then, what looked like a massive asteroid with trails coming off the end of it descended out of the sky towards Mount Rainier and disappeared over the horizon. But I knew it wasn’t an asteroid. Keegan and I both understood That it was a nuclear bomb. All the cars around us stopped, and everyone got out and looks towards what was happening. We all felt the impact and a giant mushroom cloud appeared. We could see the impact coming towards us flattening trees in its path. Nobody moved. My heart was still pounding, and I looked to Keegan to see what to do. He looked very scared. All we did was hold each other as the impact washed over us. It was very loud and we lost our hearing for a moment, but we weren’t hurt. Then, a second wave came toward us, and we were momentarily covered in dirt. I screamed a little as I dug my way out, but again we weren’t hurt. I don’t really remember what happened after that, except that I cried extremely hard in Keegan‘s arms. He seemed less afraid than I was, and was comforting me.
