The One With Jim Croce

I take off my pants to find that I have a bruise on my knee that’s so bad that it’s actually black (literally like I painted my leg black). I show it to everyone and get mixed reactions ... I’m in the car with Nicole, Renee and Brody (I’m not sure who’s driving). Renee is laying all over Nicole to the point where I’m starting to feel weird about it. Nicole is laughing hysterically and speaking Spanish. Renee says, “Wait, do you have an accent?” I look up and say, “Um, she always has?” Nicole nods and says, “Yeah, I have a Miami accent.” Then I say “Miami” the Spanish way, and she tells me I have a good accent ... I’m in what’s supposed to be Target with Renee, saying how I want everyone to buy me old things. I walk up to some records and find a Jim Croce one. It looks more like a board game and comes with colorful toy-looking pieces. I think about his untimely death. Suddenly, I’m watching a scene in an omniscient sort of way. I’ve flashed back to the day Jim Croce died. I remember (although this isn’t actually true) that he was hit by a car. I repeatedly see images of him walking toward me on an empty country road as a car (that keeps changing color and model) drives up behind him. I never see him get hit. I’m suddenly immersed in the scene now, running down the road to look for his body. I know he must’ve gone flying, so I’m looking in random front yards for him. In someone’s screened-in patio, I see a horse that’s bucking and going totally crazy. I assume that it saw Croce get hit, so I run over to the spot it keeps looking at. Instead of a body, a find a weird little dog. Somehow, I end up inside the patio (which now is full of grass) with the dog. Alex is there, putting a collar on it and talking to it. She tells me its name and picks it up.
