My husband and I were driving around with Papaw Larry, and he was in such a good mood. He laughed and made jokes. He talked about Everyone in the family, and brought back memories of us all. He was in good health. I asked him how to get to his old house, and he showed us. We parked at the bottom of his old driveway since there were new people living in his house. I could see Loves Creek running beside us as we walked to his house. He used to gather spring water from the creek every week. Once we got to his old house, no one was home. We walked in and everything was there just like the days that he lived there. Next thing I know, in walks our family and friends. Debbie walked over and gave Papaw a big hug. She was so excited to see him alive. Granny Betty was there as well. She sat down smiling and enjoying the time we had together. Apparently we spent the night there, and woke up the next morning to everyone sitting in the living room. I looked up and pointed to the TV and said, I remember watching many Sunday morning cartoons right here on this couch. I saw Granny looking at a craft that Debbie had done. She dyed the fabric on a chair, and Granny absolutely loved it. The final memory was everyone gathering around, and me saying this is it, a picture with my grandparents! I was absolutely thrilled. The picture was taken by an old highschool friend in Papaws house. It turned out awful, I looked horrible in it. But, I didn't care because I got to experience such an amazing moment with all of the people who are no longer here. Now that I'm awake, I have a heavy heart and miss them.
