My husband and I were in Mississippi when hurricane Katrina hit Louisiana. It was the aftermath that we saw. As we drove we looked out and saw houses torn to shreds, and rubble laying aimlessly all over the land. It was a ghost town, and everyone was gone. Some areas looked like the Holocaust had hit and other areas looked as though they had never been touched. I remember seeing the outlines of where houses used to sit. But, nothing stood there anymore. The silence after the storm was absolutely horrifying. We were driving in the middle of nothing. The trees had been pulled out, and the animals had been killed. There wasn't even a bird, frog, or anything to make a noise. You could see where the water had ran from it flooding so bad. The land had erosion from how bad the wind, rain, and hail hit it. The rest of my dream was silent. We never heard or saw anything living.
