I was at my uncle's house and stayed over for the evening. Things were quiet as one would expect a family home to be near bed time. My aunt was reading a story to one of her kids, my uncle was in the kitchen and I was watching TV in the living room. It was quiet. The silence was broken by the sound of a window being broken and people arguing in the street. I peeked through the blinds on the living room window. Two houses down, I saw a group of people dragging a man through the window. They then proceeded to beat him with baseball bats. The amount of blood was nauseating, but the gushing and gurgling sound of a baseball bat entering a bloody corpse was what really got me. They continued to beat the corpse until it was unrecognizable. At this point I thought it was merely assault and ran to my aunt and uncle (respectively) to tell them what I witnessed. I was worried that their house might also be targeted. They assured me thay everything wouod be fine, but I was not convinced. I rushed back to the living room to continue monitoring the situation. As I peeked through the blinds again I saw that the group of people moved to the house directly across the street and was now dragging out both a man and a woman. The couple put up a bit of a fight, but ultimately suffered the same fate as their neighbor. At this point the attackers were clearing off. The amount of violence left me shook and worried once again. I rushed to my aunt again, desperately trying to inform her of the seriousness of the situation. She still ignored my pleads. I headed back to the living room to keep watch through the blinds. Overlooking the nightmarish scene, I noticed that the two houses doubled as jewelry stores and I figured that was the reason for the attack. Nothing could explain the violence of the robbery..
