My best friend and I are Downtown. It’s lively, folks are out. We walk to a McDonald’s and I decide I want to get something. So we line up at drive through, yes the drive through, on foot, no car. Finally our turn to order, my friend chooses my food for me. We’re about to get our food but suddenly a cop car pulls up flashing it’s lights. On the side of the car it says “life support.” So my friend and I get out the way and we’re forced to leave the line and can’t get our food. Fast forward. We’re back at the mc Donald’s, this time there is a much bigger line at the drive through. My friend and I have already ordered so we figure it’s okay to cut and go to the window where you can receive your food. We do this and a man who is also waiting gets really mad at us. He makes snarky comment and I respond back with one of my own. “Yeah bro, we got the express pass. Sorry.” My friend and I get our food and leave. Fast forward. The dream changes. It’s night time. My friend and I walk around a sketch neighbor. One particular block we walk down seems more like a dark ally, fenced houses on each side. Straight ahead are a group of hooded boys. My thought is that they’re in a gang. We’re walking towards them and I don’t want to, but we do it anyways. By the time we get to them they trail off down another street. They don’t bother us. Fast forward: The neighborhood turns into a HS school hallway (I’m 13 years out of HS 🙂) kids scurry to class, others seated on stairways. I run into a girl that I’m currently dating. We converse and somewhere in our convo things turn ugly. Now we’re mad at one another. To the point where I just don’t want to deal with it, so I walk away. Run away actually, through the halls. In the distance I can hear someone calling after me. “Lateef!” It’s not the girl I’m talking to. It’s a guy. I try to to ignore him and keep running. “Lateef! At what point did I ever think that you were an average athlete!” I don’t know why he says that. But I keep running. I cut through a door where at the top it says “exit to Ohio” (in real life this girl told me that her brother just bought a house in Cleveland Ohio…maybe it was on my mind.) I exit the door and it leads to another hallway. I turn back and the girl is there, so is my best friend. She falls to the floor and starts to cry. I wake up…
