The Sky Is Black

Date: 5/16/2026

Estelle and her older sister (who doesn't exist in real life) were sitting at the table. I said "hey guys, we should go join your mom at the restaurant.". They kinda hesitated, then shared that it was too loud there and that they were tired. I said "oh alright, I'll see you guys later, love you guys!" I walked outside and the sky was black. Not like night time--there were no stars or moon or signs of anything. I couldn't even see the trees in the distance that I knew would be covering part of the sky where I was looking. I could, though, still see the closer-by trees and the street and whatnot--I guess maybe some light bulbs were dimly illuminating some stuff on the ground. I was like holy shit, went back inside and said "the sky is black!". Estelle was like huh? and curiously went outside. Immediately she was like "WHAT the fuck!?! Hahahahaha!!" and started running and laughing and making sounds of flabbergastment. She went down the street to the left. I was following, trying to keep up. She kept going further and looking at the sky and just saying "no!! Nnooo!! What?!? No hahaha what!!" I started to get the sense that she was trying to get to a place where she could see the sky not being black. I wanted to tell her that wasn't gonna work. But she was getting too far ahead. I believed I couldn't call out very loudly because that's how my voice often works in a dream. But I tried, "Stelli! Hold on, wait up!". It actually was surprisingly fairly loud for a dream, I felt strongly that she should have been able to hear me, but she made no indication that she had. She just kept going, and I started feeling nervous/stressed. Suddenly she took a hard right turn and disappeared into the dark trees. A bit of panic stirred in my chest--was she somehow enthralled by whatever maybe sinister magic had turned the sky black? But as quickly as she'd disappeared, she reappeared out from the dark trees, still running, but this time with a group of 5-10 other people running behind her. Wtf?? Was she being chased? Instead, I saw that they were all kinda doing a running interpretive dance, led by Stelly. The group was running back the way we came, past and far beyond me again before I even realized it. I yelled after them again, but again no response. I started chasing after them, but suddenly there was another group of people running right up to me. I started running backward in the opposite direction, away from Stelly, and this group followed me. I saw that one of the people closest to me was Dielle. I started doing some dance moves, and for each one I did, the rest of the group did a different move in response, but they all did the same one in unison. The move I remember them doing was a sorta pop&locky thing where their arms and head and upper torso suddenly just kinda slumped forward and hung limply while their lower body continued moving.
