I was searching for the meaning behind a symbol I have previously dreamt about.

I remember walking around searching for the answer or answers I was looking for from a previous dream.... What does V V V mean:-? One V stacked above each other for a total of 3. I've seen some old war movies with something like that on one of the men's uniforms now that I remembered that :-) wonder what other answers there are :-?
