~My friend Liam called. Said friends of ours were worried abt me. Then said he's getting depressed too, even a bit suicidal. I told him we shd get a place together, be roommates. That wd help both of us (bc we were both living w our parents, which was hell for us both)! ~I went to check out a house that was for sale w/ some other friend. House looked small and cheap (therefore hopefully affordable). Went to the front door and knocked. No one was home but the door was unlocked. We went inside. There was the living room and 2 bedrooms. Both bedrooms were extrememly small. Big enough for a bed and that was abt it; nothing more. Kinda sucked but we wanted (needed) cheap. Then I saw a space between the walls in the hallway. It led to another part of the house, I cd see by looking through. As I squeezed through (it was an extremely tight and difficult squeeze), an old lady walked in w/ her purse and some bags (as though she had been out shopping). She was very friendly. I apologized for being in her house but explained that the door had been unlocked, and we just wanted to have a quick look around as we were possibly interested in buying or renting it. She said the door was unlocked just so ppl cd come in and check out the house when she wasnt home. So I continued my looking around. Decent dining room. Saw some more rooms behind the dining room. Told my friend it was much larger than I had thought. I wdnt be able to afford this place. Saw what looked as though it was the beginning of two staircases (like in the old movies w/ the big fancy houses that had one staircase for the family and friends and then another for the servants..or one for walking up and one for going down I've also heard? Or one was for men and the other for women, that way women never had to worry abt a gentleman staring at her @$$ if he was behind her on the stairs. Idk, I've heard all 3..) but it was just the bottom part of it, like they had been chopped off, so no one cd go upstairs anymore and they were made to look like some cool decorative art piece or something. The door they led to was still able to be seen, however not reached. It was just a door in the top part of the wall, as though whatever floor or landing had been there was destroyed when the stairs were. It was a black door w/ a half circle window near the top of it. Through that window I cd somehow see a long corridor w/ atleast another 6-8 doors. "How many rooms did this place have", I wondered?! I also saw a woman walking down the hallway. I wondered if maybe the hallway and all those rooms actually belonged to someone else now (but clearly use to be apart of this house), bc I cdnt see how one wd access that part of the house w/ the stairs gone and no landing. ~ I went back to the dining room where the sweet little old lady was still unpacking her bags onto the oval dark brown wooden dining room table. I asked her how many rooms this place had. She seemed to avoid the question, acting as though she simply hadnt heard me. I then said I saw the upstairs and saw all those doors! She said the upstairs was no longer accessible to anyone, to just ignore it completely, as though it wasn't there at all. I said, "but I saw someone up there, walking up the hallway".. The smile on her face immediately gave way to a look of concern, one of almost fear but like she didnt want us to see that it was fear.. She asked what the person looked like. I told her what I had seen. It was a woman w short brown hair, bobbed (like from an era long gone). She wore a fancy black hat and long black petticoat. She was walking with her back towards me, away from the door, not towards it, so I didnt see her face. This description only seemed to frighten her more. ~It was then that I realized this house was no good. Liam and I might be able to afford it, but only bc it was haunted. I knew in my gut that it was, as if I had received an unspoken answer to a question about this house that I hadnt yet asked... ~Scene fades to black
