I met my mum at this bar. I was sitting outside and she was showing me this postcard she’d received from a male friend. I felt happy that she had been talking to someone. As I was reading it, she asked me where my drink was. I looked on the ground and found the the glass smashed to pieces. “Don’t worry... I’ll get the barman to bring me over another.” I said. Next scene; I had visited Toni. She had been crying, so I gave her a hug. “I’ve ordered some food for us,” she said “I didn’t feel up to cooking.” She then took her false teeth out and was trying to talk to me, but I couldn’t make out her words. “I have this hilarious video of me that might cheer you up!” I said. “Have you got sky?” She shook her head no. I managed to get it working via her digit box but instantly regretted showing her, as the first scene featured me drunkenly twerking on someone’s neck(?!) Feeling embarrassed, I quickly turned it off. Next scene; I had received all these postcards in the post from my friend Lou. They were so sweet, I wanted to save them all. My friend Terri had also sent this huge photo book of her life. As I was flicking through, some of the pages just had boxes saying ‘no photo’. The quality of the photos were really poor also. “What an odd gift.” I thought to myself. Next scene; I had invited the neighbours around after calling to them through an open window and ushering they to come inside. They nodded and smiled, but went back into their house. I was expecting them to come back. “I’d better clean up!” I said to my husband. The house was a mess. Rubbish dotted everywhere. After I cleaned up, I waited and waited... but there was no knock at the door. “Ahh, that’s a shame.” I said. My husband just shrugged and continued with her work at the computer.
