Star Trek/Heat Shield

In the future making distance jumps in a Star Trek like ship. Something about the heat shield was failing. Then back to Earth and I had to be in Egypt immediately. So take a short shuttle ride there. I explain on the way to a bunch of scientists about gravity and why meteors would break up in the sky (they don’t have heat shields ) and at the end I’m petting my dog on the shuttle. Like it’s natural for him to be on the shuttle headed to Egypt. This was definitely a weird one. The most memorable thing about the first part of the dream I was Commander Riker from Star Trek.
