The One With the Unrequited Friendship

I get a text from Jordyn and see that she’s sent me a picture of a sparkly, pink platform high-top sneaker. She asks if I remember how she was obsessed with these “when she was 22.” At some point, the two of us end up crossing a lake on weird jet ski-boat hybrids that we have to stand up on. I see Renee in the water and remember that she has to swim across for some reason … I’m with a blond guy who I was apparently friends with at some point. We’re in some sort of mangrove and he’s talking about a time that he said I was his best friend and that I didn’t say it back. He’s smiling like he’s kidding around, but I can see that he actually looks upset. I hug him for a long time so that he knows I’m sorry for this … I’m Taylor Swift. I’m in Renee’s old bedroom when Travis Kelce walks in. I break up with him and then ask him to leave … I’m out with a group of girlfriends at night. We’re apparently celebrating my birthday and Van — my old friend — asks if I want a picture with everyone. I feel bad that she’s taking it because I think she should be in it when I see that there’s a picture of just her … I’m in some kind of theme park (it actually feels like the security area to get into CityWalk) with my mom and Audrey. Someone asks if we want to go to a particular attraction, and I say yes. I realize that this is in another park, so we start heading out … I’m with Kyle and Kailee in a field somewhere at dusk. At some point, Rachel shows up and starts talking about the true story of “what happened when the Reeds left Journey” (as though she isn’t one of the Reeds). She basically starts telling me that everything I heard wasn’t true and then shows me a video that Mel apparently took of a conversation between her and Rachel. She starts showing me the video — complete with weird captions — and I hear a girl’s voice say something about “George Luis,” which I know to mean George Botha. A big red caption appears on the video: “Who is George Luis?” Somehow, this is supposed to reveal that things were being made up by the Reeds.
