So Nearly Did The Worst Thing

I'm looking after a baby and have gone to bed at 1am. I suddenly sit bolt upright realising that I left the child in the bath. I run into the bathroom to discover the baby in a freezing cold bath full of water. I retrieve it and feel extreme guilt that I nearly killed the child.
