I purchased a new motorcycle. I pull into a convenience store to get some things. I grab a U.S. Map, but I can’t find a map of Missouri. There’s a lot of people in the convenience store and the employees seem a bit overwhelmed. When I get to the counter to pay, the person either gives me the wrong change, or doesn’t have the right change available. The manager, or someone in charge, says by way of compensation that they’ll give me something and proceeds to tear some sort of form from a sheet. I assume it’s a coupon or something, but on my way back to the motorcycle I see that it is a blank check from the store. I realize I don’t have anywhere to put the stuff I bought, and I think I’m just going to have to hold onto it in the shopping bag. I notice that there is still a packet of sales info in a clear plastic bag hanging from a string below the handlebars on the motorcycle. I think I’m probably going to look like an idiot driving around with my shopping bag hanging from my hand and the sales paperwork hanging down too. I figure my home isn’t too far away, so whatever. There is a large truck that’s been trying to maneuver through the convenience store parking lot. A police officer stops it and gives the driver a citation because the frame of the vehicle is sitting too high above the wheels.
