Hitchhiking on a land submarine

I dreamt that Harry, Harriet, Annie and I were taking a road trip but we didn’t have a car. We heard that in China one of the main forms of transportation is hitchhiking so we decided to try it out for ourselves. A land submarine pulled up (sunk into the concrete somehow) and it’s hatch opened. We climbed inside and yelled “hello” and got a “hallo” back. We saw German flags and realised they were German. We hopped down and they took us a long ways until they told us that this was their stop, and they were giving the submarine to us to continue on. We continued for a while trying to get the hang of the submarine, and for a while we kept flipping and turning trying to figure it out. At a roundabout, a man stopped us and we got out of the sub. He was French so I spoke to him to understand and he told me to search up on my phone the school hours of the region and what time the sun goes down to know if it was safe to be driving the sub. I searched it up but my phone only gave me English results, eventually I found them and he said we were good to go and we’d make it to the town by 1 hour. Then, a group of Kiwis approached us and it was a teacher and a bunch of high school New Zealander boys. He asked us if we could tell him how to get home and we said we’d give him a lift but couldn’t take everyone as it’d exceed the weight limit. He told us he was supposed to be getting on a flight back tomorrow and we told him good luck and kept moving. Eventually, we ended up in the town.
