Around the Twist

I had met up with my friend Ash and an old school friend Sophie. Sophie had a big bunch of flowers behind her back and several presents. Panic rushed over me as it dawned on me that I had forgotten Ash's birthday, and worst still, she had had made me a gift to show her appreciation of our friendship. "I'm a terrible friend" I thought, as Sophie handed her over a huge bouquet of flowers and she gushed about how lovely they were. Next scene; I was back at in high school with Kayleigh Wyatt and Jade Pearson. Kayleigh had got me a birthday present - a pair converse - which I secretly hated, but neither the less, I felt bad that I had missed her 30th birthday which was on the 20th (6 days before mine!) I hugged her and said thank you. I was then walking down the road with Lee Wilton and he was so excited that I seemed remotely interested in him that he got carried away and tried to holding my hand - I quickly pulled my hand away and felt immediately felt dirty. I then joined Kayleigh and Jade again, walking down what looked like Hollywood boulevard together. We stopped to look at some wild animals. One of which, I had taken a liking to. It was an animal I had never seen before but there was no denying it's cuteness. It was the size of a bat but fluffy with tiny legs and paws. Kayleigh picked up a big hairy spider and said "This is so much cuter!" My eyes widened in horror as she then inserted the whole spider into her mouth and its legs wriggled between her lips. Next scene; I drove to a house in the middle of nowhere. This guy was selling furniture and I was trying to look for a nice wooden chest of drawers for my mum. Then I noticed a bunch of youths coming in and I wondered if this place was a foster home. On the shelf, I saw Minecraft figures that I hadn't seen before and I was tempted to take them when nobody was looking... but then I decided not to. Next scene; I was at this big industrial carpark waiting for things to be unloaded. I was waiting for a big delivery but wasn't having much luck with it - big truck loads would come and drive off, but I couldn't find anything for me. I then walked into an school assembly where children were singing Christmas Carols. They then started singing the titanic theme-tune and, out of a large window, I could see the Titanic travelling closer and closer with this beautiful red glowing light behind it. Everyone was overawed by its beauty. One of the teachers said "look at John, look how emotional he's getting!" "Who's John?" I wondered, to find he was an old man sat amongst a sea of singing children. Next scene; Kylie and some other people had come over (Laura and Amy) and we were all hanging out together. Amy was itching to get away, I could tell by her body language but Kylie wanted to have drinks and have fun. Next scene; I was making a film in the swimming pool with my son - who was a couple years older, by this point. I was trying to take artistic shots of him but being put off by others in the pool. Looking back through the photos, I felt embarrassed by my lack of ability.
