Responsible for my own fake news

So I was on Snapchat and I was bored so I took a selfie and captioned it “I drink and do drugs” even though I didn’t. I sent the picture to Vice (or Now This, I don’t remember) for some reason. Then I went to sleep. The next day, I was on Snapchat looking at stories and I saw my picture as the thumbnail for Vice’s story. The story was titled “This girl drinks and does drugs”. I started freaking out. I didn’t even open the story. All I could focus on was covering it up. I kept getting asked about it and I made up something about how I was testing Vice/ NowThis to see if they published news without checking for facts.
