Ancient rogue waves and broken elevator leads to tunnels

I dreamt that I was at a coastal guard point in the middle of the ocean below South Africa. We were studying rogue waves and seeing how far they can push you under the ocean. We discussed how these waves were only ever present in ancient times and now they’re back. They would crash and push us close to a hundred meters underwater and we would have to swim back up before the next one. Eventually it got too intense because one of our riggings fell off. So we got back in the elevator to take us up and away from the water. I got in the elevator with a girl who was managing it, but the elevator failed and fell down instead of up. We stopped the broken elevator in a mass cave full of pipes and stuff. Along the way we saw all kinds of stuff. Rapunzel was there with her hair down the ladder and so were some other elevator workers.
