I went to a Tuesday night church service. Since it wasn't a large Sunday morning crowd, and since the service area itself was open (as in, it wasn't enclosed by 4 walls, there were only 3 walls. There was no "front wall", like where the doors wd normally be..) I put my orange cat, Lionel, on his harness & leash and took him with me. For awhile, I was holding him in my lap, but then he jumped down to play on the floor. While singing praise & worship music however, he got away. I didn't even realize it until I saw him strutting across the stage area (pulpit area, idk what to call it), his blue leash dragging behind him, just gracefully walking across a raised wooden board/wall type thing, with antique-white words embossed across the top of it (it said something abt Christ). Everyone in the audience laughed and "Awe!"d, and the preacher who was just taking his spot at the pulpit, turned sideways to look and just smiled real big and laughed. When Lionel jumped down, I grabbed him by his harness and picked him up. We went right next door to this little restaurant (it was kind of like a Dennys, a little bit I guess). It was where everyone went after every service, since we only had to walk a couple steps to get there. Al was with me now, and while we were eating, an announcement came over the intercom. "This is the owner of the church next door. Whoever brought their cat into tonight's church service, please don't ever do it again. This is a church, not an animal shelter. Some people might have cat allergies or just might not like cats. Just don't bring your cat again." I had actually considered peoples allergies before going, but with it being so open, I figured there was enough fresh air throughout the church that the dander of just one cat went bother anyone. Combine that with the fact that not many ppl went to Tuesday night service, and I thought it was fine to bring him. As we were getting up to leave, our waitress (in a black & white old timey waitress dress, with dull black hair curled around her ears and top of her shoulders), says to me, "I cut the intercom off towards the end of that woman's message. Your cat is so cute, he shd be allowed everywhere with you! He's always welcome here!" I quickly thought to myself, "It wd hv been nice if you cut her off sooner. She practically got her entire message out, what was even the point of turning it off by the end of it?!" But even as I was thinking it, I felt guilty and ungrateful for thinking It, bc this girl was so nice, and she was on my and Lionels side, so, lol. She then said, "That woman, Sindy, is so miserable, she just has to make everyone else miserable right along with her!" I ask, "Sindy? Her last name isn't Boudinhower, is it?! Is she from South Africa?" And she said yes! I was like, "Oh my gosh! I used to work with her! I wonder what she wd hv said if she knew that *I* was the one who brought the cat! If you see her, maybe you shd tell her that it was her old friend/coworker Sunday that had the cat!" We just laughed at that, then thanked her very much and left. From there, Al, Lionel, and I ended up in a house. Idk what we were doing there, but it felt like we cdnt leave. We were sitting on the couch, while two people, a man, and a woman with barely shoulder length light brown hair, were sitting at a nice glass table typing away on their nice, silver laptops. They made small talk for a short bit, but then, when they'd say something, it was very quiet, and when we cd hear it, it didn't make sense, before it turned to mumbling. One of them looked like they were falling asleep. His eyes were half closed, but he was still furiously typing away. I took my chance to try to see what they were typing (they were very private abt it before) and saw that the girls computer had died, and the guys computer was half-closed, and it was just on a white screen with a black logo on it. They weren't typing anything, despite their fingers racing across the keyboard! Not only were they just here as a distraction, but they weren't even real ppl! They were robots, and their batteries or charge or whatever was dying! We had to try to find our way out of there! We got up, and the robotic humans just kept "typing" away on their dead and nearly closed laptops, not even noticing us (one of them was falling forward, his face almost on the table at this point). While trying to find our way out, we found another man in the house, who was also looking for a way out. It was Bradley Cooper (but in the dream, he wasn't an actor, he was just a regular guy). He joined us. Together, we ran into a dimly lit room, and at first didn't notice the man standing by another glass table. We didn't notice him until he said something. He says something, then takes a pair of really nice & expensive sunglasses out of a case on the table and put them on. There are a few other cases of sunglasses, as well as a few small tablets/laptops still in their white & turquoise boxes on the table as well. I don't remember what the man says, but it wasn't good. He definitely means us harm. He walks towards the couch at the back of the room, close to where we are. Idk how, but somehow, either Al or Bradley, or both if them, idk, got the upper hand in the situation and beat the guy up and had him tied up, sitting on the couch (not so much sitting, more lying on his back, with his hands and feet tied to each other in front of him. I think it was kinda like being hog-tied, but inthought hog tied was being tied in the back, so like hog tied but a reversal, if that makes sense ). With this guy beaten & bloodied, all tied up, we all feel more confident now. I go to the table and grab a couple pair of fancy sunglasses and small tablets/laptops, throw them in my bag. We're abt to leave when Bradley pulls out a gun and points it at the guy. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING??! NO!!", we start frantically shouting! What if neighbors hear the gunshot??! You can't kill him! And you can't justify shooting a man who's tied up! Bradley is clearly not in his right mind. He's sweating, he's pacing, he's running his hands through his hair over and over, yelling and practically spitting with every word he says, pointing the gun at the guy, then pointing it down, then at the guy again, over and over and there's no telling what he's going to do! I'm thinking that it was bad enough just us getting away from him, then I had to make it worse by stealing from him, but even then, he might not come looking for us, but now...now with Bradley pointing a gun at him, if Bradley doesn't shoot him, and if we make it out of this, he'll definitely come looking for us now! Now we're in *big* trouble! Whether he kills the guy or not, either way we're in *big* trouble! The man is trying to get something out of his shoe. It's a knife! He gets it and starts trying to saw at the ties that are wrapped around his hands and feet! There's another bigger knife in his other shoe that he can't get to yet. I grabbed it, and to try to stop him from sawing at his binds, I stab him right in the middle of his hand. He just looks at the stab wound on his hand and saws faster. I go to stab him again, in the arm this time, but he positions himself in a way that he points the little knife he has at me. He's quick with it! He's far better than we are at this whole "bad guy" thing, and it's obvious! I try to stab him again, but again, he almost gets me instead. It won't be long at all before he's out of those binds. I grab Lionel, put him tight in my arms, and start to run, Al right alongside me. The house is dark. Just as we make it out of the room, and into the dark room next to it (almost into the third room), we see him stand up from the couch and shake away the ties he had cut off. It was scary how calmly he stood up, shook the ties off, and looked towards us. Al and I ran one way, Bradley ran another. All I could think of was getting outside. Once we were outside though, what would happen? If Al and I were still together, we would jump in the car together, obviously, but if we got separated, then what? Who would make it out first? If I made it out first, should I start the car so we cd make a faster get away when he made it out? Or wd the car starting be too loud, wd the man hear it and come out for me? And if Al and I made it out, what about Bradley? What if he escaped the man, and made it outside, just to find Al and I gone, having driven away without him?! Would he be able to run down the street and get away from this madman?! If not, wd it be our fault if he died?? And if he was able to escape, wd Bradley come after us, looking for revenge for not waiting for him? Would the other man be coming for us? Would he be able to find us?! I had no answers to any of these harrowing questions clouding my mind; all I cd do in this moment was hold on tightly to Lionel a d run through the dark house, hoping to God we would make it out of this somehow.....
