For whatever reason my ex has been coming up in my dreams (haven't seen him in like 7yrs) I tell myself all the time that I dodged a bullet with this guy and I'm so lucky I didn't marry him or have a kid with him. In these dreams he is trying to make amends. I meet up with him again and he says he wants to make it work this time and that he's ready to commit. Dream me gives him another chance. He makes this big vow to me and records it so I can use it against him if he goes back on his word. We have a nice few days together, it was like the old times. He tells me though that he has to move to England in a week. I know I can't follow him because I have to move to San Antonio (that's where both our families are). I accept that and say we could do long distance. I try and make it in time to see him off in the airport. The traffic was too bad. I get to the airport and see he is still there. He decided to miss his plane and just take another one out tomorrow. That made me happy to have another day with him before going long distance. Dream fades from there It frustrates me that I was letting him back in only for him to leave again. He says all these nice things but it is hollow and meaningless...I just don't see that in the dream
AI generated interpretation Your dream about your ex can be interpreted as a reflection of unresolved emotions and feelings from your past relationship. Despite consciously thinking that you dodged a bullet by not marrying or having a child with him, your subconscious mind seems to still hold some lingering emotions or desires regarding the relationship. The dream may indicate a part of you that still longs for closure or resolution with your ex. The fact that he is trying to make amends in the dream and you give him another chance could signify a desire for reconciliation or a wish for things to have turned out differently in the past. The recording of his vow in the dream suggests a need for reassurance and accountability, perhaps indicating a desire for more certainty and commitment in relationships. The theme of him needing to leave for England and you having to move to San Antonio may symbolize a sense of distance and separation in the relationship, both physically and emotionally. The idea of long-distance in the dream could represent a fear of losing connection or intimacy with someone important to you, despite the circumstances pulling you apart. The frustration and disappointment in the dream when he ultimately decides to leave again could signify unresolved emotions related to feeling let down or abandoned in the past. It may also highlight any feelings of mistrust or skepticism towards promises made by others. Overall, this dream may be a way for your subconscious to process and work through any remaining feelings or unresolved issues from your past relationship with your ex. It could be beneficial to reflect on these emotions and consider if there are any lingering aspects of this relationship that still need closure or healing.
